Pups will go barking mad at the array of walks within easy reach of this fabulous retreat. Ideal for families and groups of friends, it boasts a pool table, a generous garden and room for everyone to spread out, balancing tranquillity with the chance to explore the most beautiful parts of Cumbria.
Enter through the utility room, wiping muddy paws before heading into the kitchen/diner, where there’s ample space for sociable cooking and eating. A dishwasher, air fryer and coffee machine are provided for your convenience, and there’s plenty of room on the floor for beds and bowls. If you’re feeling energetic after supper there’s a family room with a pool table, Smart TV and sliding doors to the garden. Alternatively, tuck yourself away in the inviting snug with a book from the shelves, or head into the handsome lounge, where a beamed ceiling and wood burner-effect electric fire set the tone for quiet relaxation: just settle your mutts and stream all your favourite shows on the Smart TV. On this level you’ll also find an elegant king-size bedroom and two shower rooms. Head up the stairs to discover three further bedrooms, all beautifully decorated in soft, co-ordinating tones – two super-king-size (which can be converted to twins on request) and a twin – sharing a family bathroom. The enclosed garden features a patio with seating and BBQ, as well as a large lawn that’s perfect for games and zoomies. You’ll also have parking for four cars.
Within 7 miles you can reach the delightful villages of Ireby and Caldbeck, or Bassenthwaite Lake, where your four-pawed friends can enjoy a stroll with mountain views. Visit the Georgian town of Cockermouth, 10 miles away, for shops and places to eat, and head to Keswick, 13.5 miles, for outdoor activities and more enticing walks.
