Debbie and Ted go above and beyond to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Even their dog, Wilf is friendly and attentive. My dog loved him! The wagon gets pretty warm in hot weather as it's in direct sunlight for most of the day, but There is shade to be found behind it and Ted is developing a lovely wooded sanctuary that will hoRead morepefully be open next year. There are sizable grounds at the property for your dog to roam in a secure, fully fenced environment but you will need to drive to places to go for decent walks, although there are several good walks within a 15 minute drive. It's a perfect rest spot for a single occupant (and their dog!) to enjoy the peace and quiet with plenty of seating areas outside and a comfy bed and sofa inside. I definitely recommend this cozy little haven away from home which even includes free tomatoes and cucumbers during growing season! Hide

Very comfortable Shepherds Hut at the back of an attractive garden plot by a pond. Ted and Debbie are very helpful hosts and everything and more - including eggs and samples of local honey are provided. The hut is very well designed and there is lots of cooking equipment and clever use of space. The local village is Marden which has shops and pubsRead more etc and is about 2 miles away along a local footpath through fields. Within easy driving range of attractive national trust and other places to visit so a good base. Hide

A peaceful, beautifully presented hideaway in the heart of Kents rolling countryside. Our stay in this shepherds hut was everything we hoped for quiet, cosy, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail created to help you slow down and breathe a little deeper. The hut itself is charming and immaculately kept, blending rustic character with modRead moreern comfort. Inside, the space feels warm and inviting, with a comfortable bed, clever storage, and those little touches (fresh milk, local treats, soft lighting) that make you feel instantly at home. The setting is truly special. Perfect for a quiet retreat, Its private without feeling isolated, and close enough to pretty villages, walks, and pubs if you want to explore. But honestly, its the sort of place where staying put feels like the whole point. A wonderful stay peaceful, beautifully kept, and full of charm. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a restorative break in one of the loveliest corners of Kent. Hide
