Welcoming two canine companions, this charming timber cabin boasts a raised deck and access to a lawned garden - perfect for happy hounds. An ideal getaway for couples, friends or families, it's in an excellent location for walkies on long, sandy beaches and exploring Devon's pretty towns and villages.
Enter the gated grounds of The Pig on the Hill gastropub via the shared driveway and park up (private parking for two cars is available) before leaping out of your car with your pups and taking a look at the gorgeous views. Bound up four steps and enter the open-plan living space, which has loads of light and can be opened right up to the outside with bi-fold doors. Cook some Devon delicacies in the pretty kitchen, and enjoy your meal at the adjacent dining table. Furry friends can curl up in their beds as you stretch out on the plump sofa, perhaps switching on the Smart TV for a favourite movie. At bedtime, bid your pals goodnight and head to the two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with large windows and natural-timber headboards. There's also a sleek family shower room, perfect for a refreshing rinse. On sunny days, spend time on the spacious deck, which has steps leading down to a large lawned area. Grill something yummy on the charcoal BBQ, or head over to the pub's own restaurant and takeaway (please check opening times).
In the popular resort of Westward Ho!, just 1 mile away, there's a sandy beach which welcomes dogs from October to April, with the north end dog-friendly in the summer months, too. More adventures can be had with walks on the coast path, and from your door there are two circular walks that take in some stunning local scenery.
