A welcoming haven, this rural Welsh escape is in a peaceful setting in picturesque Carmarthenshire. Sleeping seven guests, the four-bedroom retreat nestles at New Mill, 2.5 miles from St Clears and 4.5 miles from Pendine. Lovers of the great outdoors can head straight out on scenic walks and cycle rides through the countryside. The area offers a gateway to some of the most popular attractions in both Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Take your pick of beaches from Pendine Sands 5 miles away, perfect for swimming, paddling, and rock pooling, Amroth (7.5 miles) or Saundersfoot (13 miles). The popular coastal resort is Tenby 15.5 miles away with its colourful seaside attractions and spectacular South Beach. Head to picturesque Laugharne (3.5 miles) and visit the famous Dylan Thomas Boathouse and take one of the many walks around the estuary. For family days out, Folly Farm Adventure Park & Zoo can be reached in 12 miles or the Manor Wildlife Park (15 miles), offers fun for all ages.

Step up onto the stone patio to reach the front door of this charming rustic retreat. Head up two more stone steps to enter and find yourselves in this friendly, welcoming accommodation. The generous kitchen/diner, with its beamed ceiling, provides ample space for food preparation and storage. Whip up delicious meals in here, then pull the benches out from under the wooden table to dine. The lounge is another spacious room where you can gather to spend quality holiday time together. Light the wood burner in here at one end of the living room, then watch Smart TV, play games at the other or make plans for the following day’s adventures. You also have a handy family wet room and WC downstairs. As the day draws to a close and you feel ready for a restful night, climb the stairs up from the lounge. All four of your delightful bedrooms are located on the first floor of the cottage. These include a king-size, a double, and two singles. Another useful family shower room can be found on this level too.

Fantastic stay for our family, everything was thought of and the cottage was both comfortable and spotless. The hosts were lovely and very helpful when we contacted them also. No issues, we will be returning!

The cottage was gorgeous and was in a quiet, lovely area. The neighbours were really lovely and always chatted to us. The owner was so lovely and went out and got us some fans as it was really hot weather. It was close to so many lovely little towns and walks. Pendine Beach was gorgeous and the Dylan Thomas coastal walk in Carmarthen was a highlighRead moret for me. Would definitely stay here again! Hide
