This chocolate-box cottage is nestled amongst the trees, next to a picturesque river. The property sleeps four guests and one pup, and the peaceful setting is perfect for those looking to switch off and relax. Follow the woodland footpath into Looe (2 miles), where you’ll find a wonderful selection of independent shops and dog-welcoming eateries. From the cottage, you can enjoy day trips to Polperro, Fowey, and Polruan, all within 12 miles.
The semi-detached, period cottage offers a memorable backdrop to your holiday, with gorgeous, exposed beams, slate flooring, and country-cottage decor. The lounge is the perfect snuggly spot to unwind after a long dog walk, with a sumptuous sofa and armchair to sink into, and a warming wood burner to toast your toes and paws. The pretty kitchen/diner is a joy to cook in, and has a table and chairs for enjoying family mealtimes. The two double bedrooms are decorated in calm tones with floral soft furnishings and can be found on the first floor, along with the bathroom. There is a lovely, enclosed patio to the front of the property with outdoor furniture, as well as a raised BBQ area.
After a potter around the cute shops and boutiques in Looe, head to the beach for a paddle in the sea. Looe’s main beach is a no-go for your canine friends, but just 0.5 miles from the town centre in the beautiful Hannafore Beach, which welcomes pups all year. Fido can have a good rummage in the rock pools before leading the way for walkies along the dramatic South West Coast Path. On a hot day, the shady haven of Golitha Falls National Nature Reserve (13 miles) is perfect for your canine companion; wander amongst the trees, before settling down for a picnic by the river.
