Set in the welcoming village of Dersingham, 9 miles north of King’s Lynn and within walking distance of the Royal Sandringham Estate, this charming cottage is a lovely retreat for four guests travelling with a faithful four-legged companion. With West Norfolk’s sweeping coastline and big-sky countryside on your doorstep, it’s a wonderful base for couples or small families.

Inside, the cottage is styled with contemporary touches and a soothing colour palette. After a day of coastal adventures, stretch out on the comfortable sofa in the lounge to watch TV or dip into a holiday read, with your loyal hound curled up nearby. A sliding door leads into the open-plan kitchen/diner (small step up), well-equipped for preparing hearty meals after bracing sea air. The dining table with bench seating creates a sociable setting for breakfast before heading out on the next expedition. A sleek shower room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, two inviting double bedrooms provide restful spots to recharge. From the kitchen/diner, step out into the enclosed rear garden where your pup can potter safely among mature plants and colourful blooms. Two patio areas make al fresco dining easy in warmer months, while the lawn is great for ball games. There's also a shed for storing bikes after rural rides. On-street parking is available, with additional parking arranged at the owner's nearby business, 50 metres away.

Take a stroll through the village to admire its historic buildings and browse local shops, before settling into one of the two dog-friendly pubs or picking up a takeaway for a cosy night in. For windswept walkies, Snettisham Beach (5 miles) is a peaceful stretch of shingle where paws can pad along the shoreline, followed by a visit to RSPB Snettisham, a haven for wildlife lovers (pets on the lead during the nesting season). If you’re craving classic seaside charm, Hunstanton (8 miles) delivers Victorian character, sandy beaches and access to the Norfolk Coast Path for longer rambles. Alternatively, the Sandringham Estate itself provides glorious parkland for tail-wagging walks right on your doorstep.

Just come back from a 4 night stay at Manor Cottage. Firstly location is great, easy access to Sandringham Park with Snettisham Beach only a 15 minute drive. There is a chippy next door but there are other eateries including 2 pubs, The Feathers and The Coach & Horses which the latter is superb so recommended. There is a Co-Op Food and Spar near byRead more. The cottage itself was super clean, tidy and actually more spacious than expected with lots of mod cons, lovely kitchen, diner and fantastic rear garden. We experienced some extremely good weather so were able to enjoy the garden a little more. Definitely worth a stay and is a great base for exploring West and North Norfolk. Hide

The cottage is beautifully decorated and quilts, towels etc are all top quality. A lovely dog friendly, dog sage garden. Lovely welcome hamper with local produce and dog treats. The owner has thought of everything. Great location in walking distance of pubs and large coop store. Would recommend 100 %

Lovely, well equipped cottage. We found some of the little touches like dog treats in the welcome pack really nice. The location is brilliant as well as it's just a short stroll to the local pubs and chip shop.
