Unwind in the Pembrokeshire countryside with a stay at this contemporary lakeside lodge. With ample accommodation for four guests and two canine companions, it’s perfect for nature lovers who enjoy a touch of luxury. Spend your days exploring the beaches, wildlife and castles of this rugged corner of Wales, then return here to bubble beneath starlit skies.

One of a pair of thoughtfully designed lodges, this chalet-style, single-storey lodge is bright and spacious with nature-inspired hues and large windows framing scenic rural views. At its heart is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where French doors overlook the pond. Gather your pack for sociable evenings, rustling up meals in the sleek fitted kitchen, dining together around the table and snuggling on the sofa for film nights. There are two beautifully appointed bedrooms off the main living space, a king-size and a twin. Both have lovely views of the grounds along with en-suite bathrooms for privacy and convenience. After days of adventuring, the elevated, enclosed decking offers the perfect spot to unwind with distant views of the Preseli Mountains. Savour al fresco suppers at the outdoor dining table or relax in the sunken hot tub and stargaze while you soak. Guests benefit from two private parking spots on site.

With Canaston Woods on your doorstep, your pups will love sniffing out adventure on their morning walkies. History-loving hounds can accompany you on a trip to see the ruins of Llawhaden Castle (2.5 miles) and will love exploring the grounds of Picton Castle and Gardens (5 miles). There’s plenty of opportunity to take your pup scampering on sands, with the popular resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot within 12.5 and 10 miles respectively.
