This grand Edwardian seaside house sits in a prime spot above the dog-friendly Towan Beach (100 metres) in Newquay, giving you and your four-legged companions front-row seats to sea air, sandy paws and classic Cornish coastal fun. Sleeping up to 18 guests, it’s a brilliant choice for larger dog-loving groups who want space to spread out while staying right in the heart of town, with a fab choice of shops, cafés and restaurants all within 0.5 miles.
Inside, the four-storey house blends elegant original features with a relaxed, welcoming feel. After beach walks, flop down in the spacious lounge, opening up the French doors to let those sea breezes in. There’s a large kitchen and dining space for group meals, plus a bar area, extra dining room, utility room and a ground-floor cloakroom. Across the upper floors are nine bedrooms, all with their own en-suite bath or shower rooms, so everyone has their own space. Several bedrooms enjoy sea views, two open onto private balconies, and one even has its own roof garden for those quiet outdoor moments. You’ll also find a cinema and reading room upstairs, complete with blackout blinds and beanbags for cosy nights in with your pets. Outside, the ocean-facing front terrace, complete with hot tub, gazebo and lighting for evening lounging, is a lovely spot to relax while keeping an eye on the waves. Parking is available nearby, with two complimentary passes provided for a local public car park.
Step outside and you’re straight into one of Cornwall’s most dog-friendly playgrounds. As well as Towan Beach, Fistral Beach (1 mile) is close by for surfing, calm paddling and rock-pool exploring. Newquay Harbour offers boat trips and fishing excursions, and the South West Coast Path (0.5 miles) is your go-to for miles of spectacular cliff-top walking for energetic pups. For a food-focused adventure, Padstow’s famous seafood scene is just over 15 miles away.
