Located amongst twelve other tasteful lodges, this complex is where the original stones used to build Bamburgh Castle were quarried over 1400 years ago. Less than 2 miles from Bamburgh’s vibrant village shops, renowned eateries, Grace Darling Museum, and the fabulous, sandy beach there’s lots to see. From Bamburgh, walk the coastal path to nearby Seahouses for a wildlife-spotting boat trip from the harbour around the Farne Islands. Head to beautiful Beadnell Bay for brunch at the beachside café, pub/restaurants, and a café/bistro, try water sports lessons, rock pooling, picnics in the sand dunes, and the wonderful walk towards Low Newton-by-the-Sea. Cross the causeway to explore Holy Island’s Lindisfarne Castle, enjoy island walks and the local birdlife, and visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens.

This impressive, detached lodge with magnificent views over open countryside towards Bamburgh’s Castle and coastline has been tastefully furnished and finished to a high standard to ensure you have a memorable and relaxing holiday. Step into the hallway/utility room where you will find space to store your outdoor clothing and shoes. Head through to the open-plan living areas with high, vaulted ceilings adding to the sense of space, light, and calm. The kitchen/diner has floor-to-ceiling/wall-to-wall windows that allow natural daylight to flood in at the front and to the side, bi-fold doors open wide onto the enclosed decking for outside/inside living, and spectacular views of the neighbouring whinstone cliffs. The contemporary kitchen has been packed with equipment for the family cook to prepare a range of meals and the large dining table comfortably seats six guests for sociable mealtimes. The light and airy lounge also has impressive floor-to-ceiling windows and is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with family members with three comfortable sofas arranged for easy conversation. Rest and unwind in the glow of the wood burner and there is a large TV for entertainment. Two of the bedrooms and a bathroom lead off from the lounge; a double bedroom with a TV and an en-suite shower room, and the twin bedroom has a radio, books, and games for the children to enjoy. Close by is the family bathroom and the third bedroom is off the kitchen/diner and has a double bed and a TV.

Outside, enjoy dining and drinks, sunsets, and dark starry skies sitting on the balcony decking. You also have shared access to twenty acres of woodland, picnic areas, and an amazing cliff-top viewing point nearby for spectacular views of Bamburgh Castle and the coastline.

Lovely spacious lodge flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. Well equipped and spotlessly clean . Lovely welcome pack from the owner with tea, coffee, milk & biscuits . The walk into Bamburgh takes about 45 minutes across public footpaths or via the road. If you take the car into Bamburgh best to go early to get a parking space or you can pay 6.00 to stay in the car park next to St.Aidans church . We loved our stay & would definitely return to this lovely property Hide

The property was lovely. Located in a quarry and a short drive to the nearest beach. Beds were really comfortable. Kitchen equipment limited - no large saucepan or bowls to microwave anything - beans etc. Didnt use the decking area as it was too cold but looked lovely although very slippy when wet. This is not the case and it only has wire around it. Not safe for our young dog to be off lead. Hide

We have just returned from a 7 day stay at this delightful lodge situated in a former quarry about 2 miles from Bamburgh village. We had a 3 night break in Seagrass and we were thoroughly delighted with the accommodation. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything you could wish for, especially in the kitchen. Beautiful location with amazing views. Lodge is well laid out and very well equipped. Lots of room, we were a party of 6 adults and it worked well. Great place to explore the beautiful coastline from but also take some time out to chill at the lodge. Loved it!
