Luxury knows no bounds in this impressively spacious Cumbrian retreat – a place to escape with pets who appreciate the finer things in life. Two dogs are welcome to join up to eight guests in this elegant holiday home, which offers ample space for paws to potter, play, and excitedly chase tails both indoors and out. The sprawling lawned garden is a delight for four-legged guests, while the eight-person hot tub is a tempting highlight for the humans of the pack. When it comes to walkies, you’re spoilt for choice, with the banks of the River Eden metres away and both the North Pennines and the Lake District within easy driving distance.
A gated entrance and long private driveway provide ample parking and ensure a peaceful sense of seclusion. Step inside to discover a generous kitchen/diner, an elegant separate dining room and an exceptionally spacious lounge – more than enough room for the whole pack to relax together. A cosy wood burner keeps toes and paws warm, making it easy to leave sleepy pups resting downstairs while you retire for the night. Upstairs, four beautifully appointed bedrooms are arranged across the first floor, complemented by a combination of en-suite and family bathrooms. Outside, the private lawned garden blends seamlessly into extensive shared grounds, offering plenty of space for Rover and Fido to roam and explore.
The pretty village of Armathwaite (500 metres) provides a charming base for daily adventures, complete with a dog-friendly country pub for a well-earned post-walk refreshment. Venture further afield to the magnificent Lake District National Park (13 miles), Cumbria’s much-loved jewel, and let Fido sniff out new scents along the scenic shores of Ullswater from Pooley Bridge (17 miles). For energetic pups and keen hikers, nearby peaks such as Blencathra (21 miles) and Skiddaw (26 miles) promise rewarding climbs and spectacular summit views.
