Lead the way upstairs to discover the three remaining bedrooms, one en-suite king-size with a Juliet balcony overlooking lovely farmland, one double, and one twin, which offers a haven of tranquillity to retire to. Outside, little paws can pad around the rear paved terrace as you dine alfresco on the picnic bench. Plenty of on-street parking is available adjacent to the lodge.

Take the lead to Newquay, 7 miles away, to jump aboard a sea safari with your four-legged friend in tow to nuzzle noses with the resident dolphins and seals. The iconic Fistral Beach, 7.5 miles away, offers miles of gloriously golden sands to get your paws stuck into. Centred around a picturesque harbour, the idyllic town of Padstow (12 miles) is home to some award-winning cafes and restaurants serving some fabulous local produce. The Camel Trail, a traffic-free disused railway line passing through Bodmin to Wenfordbridge, Wadebridge and Padstow, provides a wonderfully shaded walk that your canine companion will have a ball exploring.
