This characterful holiday home is set in the quaint Northumberland village of Christon Bank. Sleeping six guests and one furry companion, the property is ideal for large families and groups of friends. The former railway station has a choice of social spaces and a large, open-plan kitchen/diner.
The former railway station has been transformed into a welcoming holiday home with comfortable furniture, contemporary decor, and homely touches throughout. There are still little nods to the building's 1800s heyday, such as the large railway signage that greets you on arrival. Leave muddy boots and dog leads in the porch, before moving through to the spacious lounge. Here, you'll find an array of sofas and armchairs and a Smart TV for catching up on all your favourite programmes. Just off the lounge is a long conservatory - originally the station platform - where you can sit with a morning coffee and your holiday read. This is also a good spot for the hound to hang out, away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. The social hub of the house is a large kitchen and dining area, where you can prepare delicious feasts for the group to share at the chic dining table. A utility room and shower room complete the ground floor. Upstairs, three tastefully decorated bedrooms await, one of which has an en-suite shower room. You'll also find a family bathroom on this level. The property has private parking for two cars.
Christon Bank is a charming village with a friendly pub and a village shop. You'll find further amenities in nearby Embleton (1.5 miles) or the bustling market town of Alnwick (8 miles). There are some truly spectacular beaches along this stretch of the Northumberland coast, many of which welcome four-pawed visitors all year. Highlights include Alnmouth Bay and Beadnell Bay, both within 10 miles.
