With views across to Bamburgh Castle and set beside the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this lodge is a wonderful place for six people and one dog to spend a holiday. Situated as part of an exclusive development, the lodge has the enviable position of being slightly elevated – ensuring that you have the best views – and is next to two other lodges that share the same complex.

At the heart of the property is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is bright and airy due to the high ceiling and magnificent floor to ceiling windows. Relax in the lounge: set a drink on the coffee table and snuggle up in front of the Smart TV, while your hound heads straight for the warm glow of the wood burner. The kitchen/diner is perfect for sociable meals, and just off it is a handy utility room complete with a washer/dryer. All three bedrooms have the feel of a boutique hotel, with thoughtful attention to detail such as wall mounted reading lights, and pretty soft furnishings to add a touch of colour. In the morning, rise refreshed and have a cup of tea on the private decked area, before setting out for a stroll with your canine companion. Please note that the decking area is not securely enclosed. For your four-legged friend, the lodge is single-storey and has hard flooring throughout, so there’s no need to worry about tired legs or damp paws after a day out exploring!

Bamburgh village (2.5 miles) is close by for shopping and a bite to eat, while Bamburgh Castle (3 miles) is an ideal day out for everyone and the grounds offer an exciting alternative for walkies! For adventure and spectacular views, cross the causeway or take the pilgrim’s route to Holy Island (14.5 miles) and the Lindisfarne Natural Nature Reserve.

Please note in Summer 2019 that there is some construction and finishing work going on to the left as you enter the development but this will not affect your stay in the property.

Lovely lodge in a beautiful setting with views of Bamburgh Castle. Boot room very good for dogs to be cleaned and dried before going into the main accommodation. Kitchen well equipped. Beds comfortable. Lovely welcome box and one for dog too.
