This magnificent barn has been lovingly converted into a spacious and welcoming home with exposed stonewalls, wooden beams and contemporary finishes creating a stylish yet relaxed place to gather. Hang up coats and wipe muddy paws in the handy boot room and wander through the generous reception space to the large kitchen/diner. This sleek, contemporary room is ideal for preparing meals for a crowd with multiple appliances and a casual breakfast bar for coffee and chat. There’s a long dining table where the entire pack can linger over home-cooked meals, flowing through to a sociable lounge/bar. Make use of the drinks fridge, icemaker and pub-style seating or get comfy on the gigantic corner sofa to watch a film on the home entertainment system. Eight bedrooms are divided between the ground and first floors. There’s a king-size and a triple on the ground floor joined by a jack-and-jill bathroom. The remaining six rooms are on the first floor, two king-size, two doubles, and two family rooms, one with a king-size and single and the other with a double and single. All the first-floor bedrooms have en-suites, and there’s an additional sofa bed that can be made up on request. Wraparound gardens extend the living space outdoors with a lawn for children and dogs to play and a patio for al-fresco meals and starlit drinks. Ample off-road parking is available.
This Peak District location offers abundant choice for walkies, including the Tissington Trail and High Peak Trail and the picturesque shores of Carsington Water (all within 10 miles). Roam the limestone ravines and famous stepping stones of Dovedale (9 miles), while Matlock, Matlock Baths and Bakewell offer market town charm within 12 miles.
