The cottage is in a lovely quiet location. It has the basics you need for a holiday but could do with a little updating.

The cottage is lovely, and very clean. The mattresses though are 'hard' rather than firm so none of us slept very well. We left feedback in the guest book about the entrance signeage, which is impossible to see until you are literally on it. We drove past in the dark a few times before stopping at a nearby inn and asking for directions. It really nRead moreeeds enlarging/lighting etc. The people in the other cottages experienced the same problem. The only reason we wouldn't return is due to the noise from upstairs. We would recommend but would warn them about the upper noise. Hide

Really lovely cottage, absolutely lovely views. Had most things there you need to have basic meals at home. The only slight negative thing I would say is that the people above us were very noisy! Not sure if they realised we were under them but it was loud at times. Other than that, it was such a lovely place that we would happily return to.

Cosy, clean and perfect for a family of four to use as a base for exploring the Lake District. Thank you.

This is a lovely cottage close to Bassenthwaite lake. It is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. Unfortunately our stay was marred by the residents upstairs as you can hear them walking about from the lounge and bedroom. For this reaon we wouldnt book this cottage again, but would consider one of the others on site.
