As mentioned in other posts the cottage is in a wonderful location, however it is not up to the standard that you would expect for the rental cost. It meets needs but is certainly not aspirational in its current condition. The owners seem to be cashing in on the location with little thought for the holiday experience of the renter. Overall, a poor experience with many problems when we arrived. The shower tray was blocked and had to be cleared by a plumber 2 days after we arrived. The television was difficult to operate and we had to set up the BBC Iplayer and ITVX using email addresses and had to change our passwords before we could watch normal television. The upholsteryRead more on the chairs was very worn and grubby. No washing up liquid and some light bulbs were missing or not working. This cottage is located in the centre of a lovely village with two good pubs, and a famous beach cafe, within walking distance. It is a former estate worker's cottage and therefore one must expect it to be small and fairly dark inside, but it makes up for this with plenty of character. The cottage was warm and comfy and an excellent location. However , there were a number of nigally small things which needed fixing , including lights , not working. We got the impression that the owners didn't really bother much, which is a shame.
