We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed, except for a garden/outside space (but we knew this when we booked). Perfect location for local dog walks and longer further afield walks.

We loved our stay at Judy Cottage. The property was clean and well-equipped: there is a lovely kitchen with everything you need. The sofas, beds, etc. were very comfortable, and the showers lovely and warm, after chilly February walks. Wifi and the tv worked really well, and there was a selection of jigsaws for dark evenings. We stayed with two chRead moreildren, who were very happy to have their own bedrooms, for once! We also had a dog and, while there is no garden, the walk around the block was lovely, with great views across the valley towards Stanton Moor and Winster. The property is also full of charcater, with those incredible views seen from the bedrooms and living room- perfect! Hide

This is a beautiful cottage which is in an excellent location for exploring the Dales and the Peak District National Park. Lovely cottage with lots of space. No garden but next to a quiet road that was fine for a quick dog walk in the morning & evenings. Only 10 minutes drive from Scarthin Books, a fabulous shop with a mix of new and 2nd hand books, a cafe and toilet. Fantastic views, very quiet. We took the dogs to escape from new year fireworks and didnt hear one!

All mod cons and nice to see a holiday let having a smart TV and brilliant wifi coverage. It is dog friendly but a bit awkward always having to walk dogs due to no gaRead morerden courtyard, but the walks from the cottage are lovely. We had a lovely time. Great location with fantastic walks from the house. The stairs down to the ground floor are steep and open so would be concerned if you had small children or are frail but there is a stair gate. We had a great stay and had everything we needed.
