Surrounded by open countryside on the Lincolnshire Wolds fringes, this welcoming lodge is a great pick for dog owners craving fresh air and a slower pace of life (not to mention long walks!). It’s set within a small cabin complex, providing an easy-going glamping experience where adventures begin right from the doorstep. With one double bed, it works well for a solo traveller or a couple who love a good view.
Inside, the lodge is cosy and thoughtfully arranged, with a striking arched ceiling made up of white wooden panels for a modern look. The open-plan living space includes a comfortable sofa, Smart TV and dining area – ideal for quiet evenings in as your four-legged companion curls up nearby. Towards the rear of the lodge is a double bed dressed in luxurious bedding, along with an en-suite shower room and WC. Step outside onto the covered private terrace for some downtime, whether that’s relaxing around the fire pit or easing tired muscles in the hot tub while your dog potters close by. One parking space is available near the lodge.
The pod is surrounded by miles of footpaths for leisurely strolls and energetic wanders, including a scenic route leading to a dog-friendly village pub nearby (0.5 miles) – perfect for stretching legs on the way to a relaxed drink. You can also access sections of the Viking Way hiking trail (6 miles) for longer excursions on two feet (or four paws). When you fancy a gentle wander among antique shops, and perhaps a bite to eat in a cafe, head into Horncastle (7 miles). Woodhall Spa (13 miles) is a picturesque Edwardian town known for its local food and relaxed atmosphere, making it a lovely spot to explore with your dog in tow.
