This stylish coastal hideaway sits in in the friendly village of Beadnell on the Northumberland coast. Close to the beach and sleeping up to eight guests across four elegant bedrooms, it’s a superb base for seaside breaks with family, friends and your loyal hound in tow.
Kick off sandy shoes and drop leads in the porch before stepping into the home’s sociable heart: a spacious, open-plan kitchen/diner with wooden floors and French doors to the garden. The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed for rustling up hearty meals, and the breakfast bar is made for morning coffee while your furry chum waits to see what crumbs might fall. A sofa sits in one corner, while the generous dining table invites everyone to come together for relaxed mealtimes with a view of the garden. After dinner, cosy up in the lounge, where soft seating and a beanbag sit around the Smart TV. Enjoy film nights in the warm glow of the wood burner, with your snoozy sidekick curled at your feet. Upstairs, you’ll find four bedrooms – three king-size and one twin – dressed in plush linens and soothing tones to help everyone drift off. Two of the king-size rooms come with their own en-suite shower rooms, and there’s a sleek family bathroom too. Outside, the enclosed rear garden has a generous lawn – great for outdoor games or letting your dog run around. By the house, a patio with outdoor furniture sets the scene for al fresco meals, and a picnic bench offers another sunny spot for tucking into snacks. There’s private parking for two cars, plus additional on-street parking for one more if needed.
You’ll be 300 metres from Beadnell Bay – a sweeping, crescent-shaped stretch of sand where beach-lovers of all ages paddle, hunt for treasures in the rockpools and try water sports. Stroll through the dunes or pick up the Northumberland Coast Path for breezy walks that your wag-happy companion will relish. Beadnell has a welcoming choice of pubs and cafes, while Seahouses, 2 miles along the coast, adds even more places to tuck into something tasty. It’s also the departure point for boat trips to the Farne Islands.
