Choose a cosy spot in one of two inviting lounges – one of which boasts a striking wood burner centred around a stone fireplace. When it’s time to eat, head to the kitchen area to whip up some dinner to share at the farmhouse-style dining table. A skylight in the raftered wooden ceiling floods the space with natural daylight. After dinner, relax in the sauna or hot tub across the garden, or head back to the lounge to warm your feet by the wood burner while your pups sleep at your feet. At the end of the day, there are four king-size bedrooms to choose from. Downstairs, you’ll find one king-size with a handy shower room, while upstairs there are three more – one with its own en-suite shower room. Completing the layout, you’ll find a bathroom with a glamorous free-standing bath and a double shower.
Your pups will love exploring the nature trails at Wheal Martyn Clay Works (3.5 miles), and you can check out the site’s fascinating heritage features. Alternatively, set off for walkies at the Lost Gardens of Heligan (10.5 miles), where you can wander along shaded paths and across open parkland.
