Head out on walks from your door with your happy hounds at your side. This superb lodge is ideal for couples or small families, and welcomes you and your furry pals for fresh-air adventures followed by restful evenings on your balcony, admiring the views.
Feeling beautifully bright and airy, the lodge has a vaulted ceiling and huge windows framing its lovely views. Its open-plan living space allows humans and hounds to enjoy sociable times together, whether you’re cooking, dining or relaxing. The kitchen area has everything you’ll need to create delicious holiday meals, including a dishwasher, and you can dine at the table or enjoy a quick snack or drink at the breakfast bar. Soft seating invites you all to gather around to play games, plan your next day’s activities or enjoy the Smart TV. Two calm bedrooms provide soothing retreats: a king-size with an en-suite shower and a dressing area, and a twin which uses the family bathroom. A decked balcony wraps around the lodge, extending the living space outdoors and offering a place to dine in the evening sun and soak up the scenic views. Clip on the lead and you can also stretch furry legs with a wander through the park’s ancient woodland and country trails. The lodge also has private parking for two cars.
The coastal town of Ryde, the largest on the island, is just 2.5 miles away and has sandy beaches (some of which welcome dogs all year round) as well as dog-friendly cafes. There’s also a lovely walk around Appley Park, with open areas, woodland and stunning views. Head to Havenstreet station, 3.5 miles away, for a trip on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway – canines on leads welcome – or visit Ventnor Botanic Garden, 12.5 miles away, for a beautiful stroll among the sub-tropical plants.
