This stylish holiday retreat enjoys a rural setting in the village of Hinton Blewett, on the edge of the Mendip Hills National Landscape. Welcoming four guests and two furry pals, the converted barn makes a great base for couples and small families. The surrounding countryside is awash with walking trails to explore. For shopping and eating out, the elegant city of Bath is just 15 miles away.
The contemporary wood-clad barn conversion has a home-away-from-home vibe, with cute accessories and artwork adorning the walls. Leave muddy boots and dog leads in the hallway, before heading through to the bright and spacious open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner. In one corner is a country-style kitchen for preparing delicious dinners using local ingredients, which you can enjoy at the dining table while admiring the countryside views. In the evenings, relax in the comfortable lounge area to watch the Smart TV, while your furry friends amble in and out to the garden. Completing the accommodation are two tranquil bedrooms – a king-size and a twin – served by a Jack and Jill-style shower room. Outside, dine alfresco on the sunny patio whilst Rover and Fido play on the large, enclosed lawn. The cottage has private parking for two cars.
There are some lovely walks to explore in and around Hinton Blewett, offering spectacular views across the Somerset landscape. After a long walk with the woofers, refuel in the friendly village pub. Heading to the coast (20 miles), you’ll find some fantastic paw-friendly beaches, such as Brean and Berrow, as well as vibrant seaside towns like Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea. There are some excellent family attractions in the area, including Cheddar Gorge (10.5 miles), where you and your canine buddies can enjoy exhilarating hikes and explore the underground caves.
