Follow fabulous footpaths through the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds with Fido at your heel. This five-bedroom holiday home, which sleeps ten guests, is set in Utterby and is 4 miles from Louth. Return to the spacious retreat to watch Fido race about the large garden while you lounge in the bubbly hot tub and enjoy the views.

Return from your explorations with Fido, tired but happy, and head straight into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Take him to the kitchen to reward him with a delicious dinner, then either open the garden doors or stoke up the wood burner and watch him stretch out in a corner. This open-plan space has ample room for the rest of your large party too. The lounge is the perfect spot for movie nights in front of the TV, while the large table can accommodate group feasts and board games. Alternatively, there is a reading area and a snug, with another wood burner and TV, for you and Fido to retire to if you fancy a few quiet moments to yourselves. Also downstairs are a utility room and a king-size bedroom, adjoined by a Jack and Jill shower room. Three double bedrooms and a single can be found on the floor above, together with the family bathroom and an additional separate WC. Take Fido out to chase a ball in the garden on fine mornings. Dine on the patio or enjoy a drink at the bar in the summer house before firing up the hot tub. There is private parking for four cars.

Drive 5 miles to Hubbard’s Hills, where you and Fido can explore the country park together, and he can paddle in streams. Plan an afternoon at the beach near Theddlethorpe, 14.5 miles away, where he can join you on the sand.

Lovely view and decent location, but be aware this feels much more like staying in somebodys personal family home than a holiday rental. We found the property disappointing in terms of cleanliness and comfort, particularly the beds and mattresses. A lot of the furnishings and equipment felt mismatched or like old items left behind rather than intenRead moretionally set up for guests. Also worth noting the house is on a noisy main road, so traffic noise was noticeable throughout our stay. Hide
