Mere metres from the sea, this coastal cottage sits in the heart of Little Haven – a much-loved seaside village wrapped within the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Around 50 metres from your front door lies one of Wales’ cleanest beaches, complete with rock pools for curious pups to sniff around and calm turquoise water for wild swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking. Decorated with nautical touches and drenched in natural light, this three-storey seaside bolthole creates a relaxed escape for families, friends and their four-pawed pals.
Step into the ground-floor kitchen/diner, designed for hungry adventurers with plenty of room to prepare meals and gather together. A terrace just off the kitchen catches sea views – a dreamy spot for that first morning cuppa. A handy utility room gives you extra fridge/freezer space and laundry facilities, and there’s also a ground-floor family shower room. Head upstairs to the first floor to discover two of the three bedrooms: a king-size with a TV, en-suite shower room and French doors leading to a private courtyard, plus a bright twin with village and sea glimpses. Also on this level is a loft-style lounge with plush seating, Sky TV and an open fire – just the place to curl up with your whiskered sidekick after a windswept walk. The final bedroom is a single tucked beneath the eaves, also enjoying sea views. Outside the front door, a small seating area lets you sit back and watch coastal life drift by, while the courtyard off the master bedroom makes a sheltered setting for morning coffee or early-evening drinks while Fido potters around. Parking for one car is provided in a public car park 100 metres away.
When the tide drops, you can wander across the sand to Broad Haven Beach (0.5 miles), a sheltered golden sweep made for sandy paws and lazy afternoons. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs right through the village, giving you instant access to tail-wagging walks. Follow it to pretty St Brides (4.5 miles) or onwards to the dramatic Musselwick Sands (7 miles). For a truly unforgettable outing, visit Martin’s Haven (8 miles) and join a boat trip to see puffins around Skomer Island, with many operators welcoming dogs onboard.
