Dish up the dog’s dinner here too, then settle on the sofas in front of the TV, while he flops down on the floor. On warm days, slide the door back so everyone, Rex included, can step out onto the deck. Also downstairs are a twin bedroom, a double and a family bathroom. Call Rex to join you in the first-floor lounge, which has a vaulted ceiling and doors to a balcony. Relax in here together in front of another TV or simply admire the views. At this level, you also have a sleek king-size, four-poster bedroom, with an en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom. Take Rex out onto one of the two lower decks to keep you company as you cook on the BBQ and dine under clear night skies. Throw a ball for him on the lawn to tire him out before bed. There is parking for four cars.
Head into Wadebridge to follow the Camel Trail. Hire a bicycle here with a trailer for Rex if you wish to tackle it on two wheels. There are many beautiful, dog-friendly beaches to choose from. Visit Treyarnon Bay, for example, 8 miles away.
