Situated along a quiet street in the coastal town of Northam, this delightful holiday cottage makes a charming hideaway for beach lovers, golfers, walkers and nature enthusiasts exploring North Devon. This lovely property was the birthplace of the great British golfer John Henry Taylor, and has been thoughtfully updated and elegantly decorated to make a cosy retreat for couples and smaller families. Within easy reach of the Royal North Devon Golf Club, this light-filled hideaway also has plenty of room for a pair of four-legged companions to join you in exploring the tranquil beaches, peaceful parks and spellbinding countryside of this unforgettable area.

The hallway leads through to an airy lounge with plush seating, a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner to keep you and your pets warm in the evenings. A stylish dining table sits by the French doors. The ground floor also has a thoughtfully arranged shaker-style kitchen with ample workspace. A cottage-style staircase leads up to the two peaceful first-floor bedrooms. The first is a charming king-size bedroom and the second is a lovely bedroom with a single daybed and an additional pull-out single. The accommodation is rounded off with an elegantly tiled bathroom. From the dining area, sliding doors lead into a pretty courtyard with a choice of garden furniture, providing a relaxing spot for a morning coffee with your pets waiting patiently for their walk. Roadside parking can be found nearby, with a public car park about 200 metres away.

Northam lies a mile from the Victorian resort of Westward Ho! with a magnificent stretch of sandy beach, which is pet-friendly with some seasonal restrictions. Pets are also welcome to help you explore the beautiful Northam Burrows Country Park (1.5 miles). Other dog-friendly attractions include Peppercombe Beach, Tapeley Park Gardens, Marwood Hill Gardens and the village of Clovelly, all within 13 miles.

The cottage was incredibly comfortable, the location was very good and we would definitely recommend staying here! We went with our two dogs who enjoyed their holiday as much as we did!
