Bring your dogs to Dorset and embrace adventure on the marvellous south coast. This impressive property is built for larger groups and bounding bow-wows, welcoming ten guests and two canine friends. When the sun shines, throw open the French doors from the attractive lounge and let Rover and Fido wander onto the patio and down to the lawn – this area is fully enclosed, making it wonderfully pet-proof for summer stays.

On arrival, park up on the spacious private driveway and head inside. Let your canine companions lead the way as you explore both floors of this handsome abode, moving between the communal spaces on the ground floor and the sleeping arrangements upstairs. The kitchen/diner is generous in size, ideal for serving up your dog’s dinner and something a little tastier for the humans of the pack, while the lounge and garden room create plenty of space to unwind with feet (and paws) up. The first of five bedrooms is a large emperor-sized room on the ground floor, accompanied by an equally spacious en-suite. From here, patio doors open onto the extensive garden – wonderfully large, beautifully furnished and complete with a hot tub, perfect for soaking away those aching walkers’ muscles.

Discover a new leash of life while exploring the surrounding coastal countryside, joining the South West Coast Path in just 1.5 miles. The Isle of Purbeck is surrounded by rugged Jurassic Coast landscapes, sandy beaches and rolling green fields – so step out with a pocket full of doggy treats and begin exploring. Make your way to Swanage (2 miles), a charming coastal town with a Victorian pier and classic seaside appeal. If visiting with dogs in summer, be sure to check beach restrictions and gravitate towards Monkey Beach and North Beach, both welcoming for pups at peak season.

Lovely large cottage for our group of friends, plenty of room and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of crockery and kitchen equipment and the hot tub was a bonus. Definitely will try to come back with family.

8 of us stayed at Ponsonby last week and we all thought it was the most amazing holiday home we'd ever stayed in. We were impressed with the size and that all bedrooms were en-suite. (We fought over the massive downstairs room LOL). It was very well presented and had everything you could possibly need. The gardens and the views were wonderful. Absolutely beautiful home very quiet location really comfortable beds & lovely linen plenty of crockery eg mugs plates glassware pans etc lovely to have 2 fridges would highly recommend to our friends

Had issues with hot tub and EV charging but these were quickly sorted once Holiday Cottages were contacted.
