Tucked away in peaceful countryside, this attractive two-storey cottage provides a wonderful escape for couples, families or friends travelling with a four-legged companion. With its own hot tub and surrounded by open landscapes, it’s a wonderful base for switching off and exploring North Cornwall at your own pace.
Inside, the cottage blends contemporary comfort with coastal-inspired style. The welcoming hallway leads you into a thoughtfully designed kitchen/diner. Sliding doors open out onto the decking, making it easy to dine with a view – and to let your furry friend wander in and out while you eat. The lounge is bright and inviting, with large windows bringing in plenty of natural light. Comfortable seating and a Smart TV make it a lovely spot to settle in after a day of fresh air, with your loyal hound snoozing close by. Upstairs, two cheerful bedrooms await: one king-size and one super-king-size, both with Cabrio balcony windows that frame far-reaching views across the countryside and out to sea. Outside, the decking area is a lovely place to sit and take in the surrounding scenery, or to sink into the hot tub after a day of discovery. The property sits within 3 acres of grounds, including a boating lake where fishing is permitted. Due to the abundance of local wildlife, dogs should be kept on leads when outside. Private parking for up to two cars is also available.
2 miles from the door lies the sandy cove at Crackington Haven, a favourite for beach days, rock pooling and coastal walks. A seasonal ban applies from May 15th to September 30th, prohibiting dogs between 10 AM and 6 PM. Outside these times and during the off-season, dogs are welcome on the sandy beach or can roam the South West Coast Path at any time of the year. The village itself has a relaxed charm, with cafes and eateries close to the shore. Tintagel (9.5 miles) invites you to explore its dramatic clifftop castle and Arthurian legends, while Bude (11 miles) is great for traditional seaside fun, including the sandy stretch at dog-friendly Summerleaze.
