A delightful shepherd’s hut near the historic village of Cotham is an ideal countryside escape for couples or solo travellers seeking relaxation and a base to access the surrounding Nottinghamshire countryside. Start your morning with a coffee overlooking the lake, before going for a wild swim. Anglers can spend lazy afternoons fishing. The nearby market town of Newark (4 miles) offers traditional pubs, independent shops, and riverside strolls. Aviation enthusiasts should visit the fascinating Newark Air Museum (10 miles).

Take the steps up to enter this gorgeous property offering a thoughtfully designed interior and chic styling and decor. Once inside, admire the soft hues and marvel at the bespoke kitchen featuring all the appliances you need for rustling up a late brunch or a romantic dinner. Enjoy your morning coffee at the breakfast bar overlooking the water. At one end of the hut, a sumptuous double bed with superior bedding invites restful sleeps, while at the other, a sleek private bathroom features a walk-in shower with a waterfall feature and a WC. For a day trip, head to Grantham (13 miles) to discover its market squares and cosy cafes. Venture a little further to Nottingham (21 miles), where you can explore the city’s legendary history, caves and castle. Absolutely lovely place to stay. Enjoyed eating out at the Riverside pub that was recommended in their leaflet. Enjoyed the trail through the woodland on site.. Really appreciated the fire put too.

Its amazing! Everything we need is available. The view outside is perfect. So calm and peaceful would definitely comeback..
