Occupying an enviable location on Flamborough Head, this coastal retreat is a delight for families and friends seeking breathtaking views and wild nature. With stunning views over farmland and a golf course to the lighthouse and sea, six guests and one beloved pup can unwind in comfort just 500 metres from the rock pools of Selwicks Bay.

This semi-detached home is arranged over two light-filled floors and decorated throughout with a warm ambience. Flooded with light from the large bay window, the lounge is the ideal spot to unwind after a day on the coast; sink into plush sofas while your pup snoozes by the wood burner-effect electric fire. A conservatory invites a quiet moment with a cuppa, where you can snuggle in a chair with your favourite book while watching ever-changing skies. With wooden worktops and fresh white cabinets, the kitchen is ready for everything from picnic prep to family feasts, while the adjoining dining room sets the scene for mealtimes with a view. Accommodation is arranged over both floors. The downstairs twin bedroom is ideal for youngsters, with its own TV/DVD, and a convenient shower room on this level. Upstairs, there’s a peaceful double with an en-suite shower room, plus a second twin with its own WC. Soak up the sea breeze in the enclosed garden, as you dine al fresco while children and dogs play safely on the lawn. Off-road parking for three cars makes holiday logistics simple.

Venture out on foot to explore cliff-top paths, with Fido sniffing out enticing smells while you watch for seabirds and dramatic views. Selwicks Bay and North Landing (2 miles) welcome dogs all year, while Bridlington (6 miles) entices with its bustling harbour. Stop en route at Sewerby Hall (4 miles) where dogs are welcome in the gardens and woodland.

Second time we stayed at Home Bay, beautiful views and very peaceful. A short walk down to the lighthouse and the seals or a short drive to RSPB Bempton to see the Puffins and other sea birds. York is only an hour away with excellent park and ride facilities or closer you have Filey and other coastal towns.
