Exercise energetic pups on the picturesque open sands of Northumberland when you book this enticing modern cottage near Seahouses. Situated in North Sunderland, just 1 mile from the beach, the airy three-bedroom property sleeps six guests and has a garden for pets to play in. In addition, the lovely, reverse-level retreat features a glass-fronted balcony where you can relax with a glass of wine and take in the wide-sweeping views after a day of dog-friendly activities.

Wander inside to find bright, sun-soaked accommodation. Head into the utility room to dry damp fur and leave muddy boots. The family bathroom and your beautiful bedrooms are also downstairs. These include a king-size, with an en-suite shower room, and two double rooms. Take your paw-some pal up to the first floor to join in the fun as you relax, socialise and dine together. Here you have your lovely open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can pull bi-folding doors back onto the balcony on sunny days or fire up the Scandinavian-style wood burner in the autumn. Feed your canine friend in the stylish kitchen and prepare something delicious for the rest of your party here too. Gather round the table for lively meals together, then retire to the sofas to watch the Smart TV or unwind in front of the wood burner and the views while your contented canines doze on the rug. There is a handy WC at this level. Absorb the sunshine and scenery from the enclosed garden instead, while your cheerful chum explores or plays on the grass. There is private parking for two cars.

Stretch furry legs with a good 3-mile bound along the sand from Seahouses to Bamburgh, where four-legged friends can accompany you through the grounds of the striking castle. Take a pup-welcoming, wildlife-spotting cruise from Seahouses Harbour, 1 mile away.

A lovely house in a fabulous location with stunning views at the rear. Ideal for all the family and the upside down layout really maximises the views.

We had a fantastic weekend stay at the beautifully appointed and immaculate Tern House! The house has stunning countryside views and we very much enjoyed seeing the sheep, lambs, cows and calves come and go. All of the rooms have been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and the kitchen was fully equipped. The garden was well maintainRead moreed and a lovely play space for the children. We enjoyed the easy walk (or scoot!) into Seahouses which was full of things to do for our group of 2 adults and 3 children (aged 8, 8 and 6). As recommended in the welcome-book we visited the Italian restaurant Insieme and Hook Fish and Chips, as well as a visit to the Farne Islands with Billy Shiels, where we saw lots of puffins! We will be returning to Tern House for our next Northumbrian holiday. Highly recommended. Hide
