Bring together family, friends, and furry chums for a relaxing getaway on the Isle of Wight. This fabulous period home sits just outside the village of Seaview, on the island’s north-east coast. You’ll be just half a mile from a dog-friendly beach and perfectly placed for joining the Isle of Wight Coast Path. In the evenings, share family BBQs in the large, enclosed garden.
The elegant period property boasts beautiful original features and is decorated in a country-cottage style with pastel shades, rustic woodwork, and floral patterns. On the ground floor is a large kitchen with ample space for dog beds, as well as all the equipment needed for a self-catering getaway. Enjoy dinner at the large wooden table in the dining area, before retiring to the characterful lounge. Here, an array of sumptuous seating is arranged around a TV with Sky and a cosy wood burner. In the summer months, throw open the French doors so the hounds can amble in and out. A refreshing shower room completes this level. Upstairs, you’ll find three attractive bedrooms – a king-size, double and twin – served by the family bathroom. Outside, dine alfresco on the sunny patio as the woofers charge around the large, enclosed lawn. Private parking is available for two cars.
Seaview is a charming Edwardian village with beautiful architecture and a fantastic range of quirky shops and independent eateries. The village’s beach, Seagrove Bay, welcomes waggy-tailed visitors all year round, and at low tide you can enjoy a lovely walk around to St Helens. The vibrant seaside town of Ryde (3 miles) makes a lovely day out, and nearby paw-friendly attractions include Blackgang Chine, Brading Roman Villa, and Carisbrooke Castle (all within 15 miles).
