After a long walk, head into the bustling town centre to dine in one of the many pubs or restaurants.
The Victorian house oozes elegance, with high ceilings, period features, gorgeous artwork, and bay windows framing far-reaching views. On the ground floor, you’ll find a country-style kitchen/diner, with all the equipment and worktop space needed to cater for a large group, along with a pantry and a farmhouse table. For dinner parties and special occasions, you’ll have a striking dining room with a banquet-style table and stunning views. In the evenings, gather in the vast lounge, where an array of plush seating is set around a Smart TV. Rounding off this level are a fun games room and a handy utility/boot room. Upstairs, you’ll find five beautifully styled bedrooms, along with a stylish shower room and the family bathroom. Completing this floor is a second lounge with a Smart TV. This room leads to a cute ‘den’ with two single children’s beds. Outside, enjoy al fresco suppers on the patio as you take in the spectacular scenery, or sip a sundowner next to the chimenea. Steps lead down to an enclosed lawn where the woofers can burn off steam. Private parking is available for five cars.
Head down to the water’s edge (3 miles) to take a relaxing stroll along the footpath to the viewpoint at Friars Crag or hop on the paw-friendly Keswick Launch to explore the area from the lake. Whinlatter Forest Park (7.5 miles) is a great choice, offering plenty of shady walking trails. Other days out include Bassenthwaite Lake, Castlerigg Stone Circle, and the colourful town of Cockermouth (all within 15 miles).
