This countryside retreat enjoys a peaceful setting in the rural hamlet of Lower Chapel, 5 miles north of Brecon. The pet-friendly cabin, which boasts beautiful views across open fields, is perfect for couples and small families who love getting out and about in nature. There are some lovely walks to explore from the holiday home, and nearby paw-friendly attractions include Dan-yr-Ogof (National Showcaves Centre for Wales) and the Brecon Mountain Railway (both within 25 miles).
The single-storey cabin has a home-away-from-home vibe, with pretty soft furnishings, charming accessories, and creature comforts throughout. The main living space is a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with wooden floors and fabulous rural views. At one end is a country-style kitchen for preparing hearty feasts, which you can share at the dining table. In the evenings, unwind in the lounge area with the pups curled at your feet, as you read your book or watch the Smart TV. The cabin has two bedrooms – a double and a single (with additional trundle bed) – both with en-suite shower rooms. Outside, the enclosed garden has furniture for al fresco dining and a lawn where your four-pawed pals can burn off steam. Private parking is available for two cars.
Brecon is a vibrant market town on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) and makes a lovely day out, with stunning architecture to admire and a plethora of independent shops and eateries. As expected, the surrounding area is a paradise for dog walkers. Get the heart pumping and ears flapping on an exhilarating hike at Pen y Fan (8.5 miles) or Corn Du (11 miles), or take a serene stroll along the picturesque towpath of the Monmouth and Brecon Canal (5 miles). For water sports enthusiasts, the beautiful Llangorse Lake is just 12 miles away.
