This historic townhouse is in the attractive village of Belford, 4 miles from Budle Bay. The property, which is arranged across three levels, sleeps five guests and two waggy-tailed pals, and is perfect for families and friends seeking a holiday that combines both coast and countryside. As well as being within easy reach of Northumberland’s spectacular beaches, you’ll also be just 9 miles from the remote landscape of the county’s national park.
The three-storey holiday home, which has a Blue Plaque as the birthplace of artist Sir William Menzies Coldstream, is decorated in calming tones and is dotted with homely touches throughout. From the rear of the house, enter the spacious kitchen/diner where you’ll find a large dining table, equipment to rustle up tasty feasts, and ample room for the dog beds. Just off the kitchen is a handy utility room. In the evenings, snuggle up on one of the plush sofas to watch the Smart TV whilst the pups stretch out in front of the wood burner-effect gas fire. On the first floor, discover a king-size bedroom (with an en-suite shower room), a single bedroom, and the family bathroom. The top floor is home to an inviting twin bedroom with French doors opening onto a private balcony. The property also has an enclosed garden with furniture, a BBQ, and a lawn where the woofers can play. Private parking is provided for one car, with additional on-street parking, subject to availability.
The picturesque village of Bamburgh makes a lovely day out. Explore the spectacular grounds of the iconic cliff-top castle, stroll along the white, sandy shoreline, and potter around the charming boutiques and galleries. The village also has some excellent, woof-welcoming cafes. Alternatively, venture 12 miles along the coast to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, to get away from it all amongst the wild and remote scenery.
