Property code: OC-TCHAWTH

A cosy and romantic cottage getaway for two people and two canine companions, this property is one of three tranquil cottages, located in a quiet corner of northern Cornwall. The accommodation is located 1 mile from Crackington Haven Beach, which is dog-friendly between October and Easter, although the cottage is ideally located for countryside and coastal walks year-round.

The single-storey bungalow features a front and rear lawn complete with a picnic table and BBQ. The garden is enclosed, giving you peace of mind while your four-legged friends roam freely. A wood burner-effect electric fire is situated in the inviting lounge, meaning pups and humans alike can snuggle down for a cosy evening in front of the TV. There is access to shared laundry facilities available on-site should clothes need to be cleaned after a muddy trip. Ample parking is provided outside the front of the property.

Crackington Haven is 1 mile down the road, where you will find a shop, cafe and pub. Access to the dog-friendly South West Coast Path is also available here, which takes walkers along the beautiful Cornish coast. Bude is 12.5 miles from the property and here you will find a number of areas that you can go mutts. Dog-friendly beaches, pubs and attractions are aplenty in Bude, so there is plenty to set tails wagging. For day trips, you can head over to the town made famous by Doc Martin, Port Isaac, which is 18 miles away and Padstow can be reached in 28 miles.

This was a lovely place to stay. The cottage is small, but very nicely equipped and felt very homely. The location is brilliant for access to fabulous beaches and surrounding countryside. A lot of thought had gone into providing for visitors - access to a washing machine and drier was really helpful for our autumn stay.

Hawthorn Cottage is a small, clean and well planned one bedroom cottage in Higher Crackington Haven that accepts dogs. Its a delightful place to spend a quiet week but close to Bude, Boscastle and Tintage for entertainment and supplies. The owner Mrs Rogers could not have been more helpful when I was stranded with a damaged tyre. Her help went abovRead moree and beyond what could reasonably be expected. Hide

The cottage is compact, but has all you need. Dog friendly - front garden has a low wall, and you have to walk through the front garden to get to the fully enclosed back garden. Not an issue for our basset hound but would be with a taller dog. Village shop 1 minute walk, has most things you need. There is a small beach 5 minutes drive with two niceRead more cafes there also. A plethora of beaches within 30 minutes, superb location in that sense. Hide
