Discover the unique beauty of the North West Norfolk landscape when you and your hound set off on walks from this charming brick and flint cottage. Sleeping four guests, and welcoming pups with open paws, the two-bedroom bolthole is nestled in the village of Fincham, 5 miles from Downham Market and 10 miles from King’s Lynn, and enjoys an enclosed garden for four-legged friends.

Return from Fenland hikes to dry damp paws before heading into the lounge, which has a flagstone floor and beamed ceiling. Light the wood burner to warm soft fur and tired feet, as your pal settles on the rug and you sink back into the sofa. Find a film on the Smart TV or amble through to the dining room for a hand or two of cards. The kitchen, which has been beautifully finished in a country style, encompasses everything required for rustling up meals to enjoy in the dining room. You can also feed your canine friend here. Bid your paw-some pal goodnight before enjoying a long soak in the ground-floor bathroom, then heading upstairs to bed, where you have a king-size and a twin room to choose from. Awake to take your delighted pup for a quick walk before breakfast, returning to have your morning coffee out in the garden. When you return from days out, enjoy afternoon tea outside too, while your contented canine stretches out on the grass. There is parking for two cars.

Explore the fascinating ruins at Castle Acre, 13 miles away, where your chum can accompany you through the ruins of a Norman settlement. Pack a picnic and drive to the Royal Sandringham Estate, 15.5 miles away, to roam the beautiful grounds together. Head to the seaside at Heacham, 23.5 miles away, where the beach is pup friendly.

This is a beautifully renovated and comfortable cottage, warm and welcoming. There is a lot of outside space so will be brilliant in summer, especially for children and pets. It is well located for exploring this part of Norfolk with plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance. The range of kitchen equipment was a bit limited but adequatRead moree. Guests should be aware that the stairs are quite steep and narrow, but that is to be expected in this type of property. Hide
