Offering a peaceful retreat for paws and people, this property on the edge of Dorset’s National Landscape is the perfect pet-friendly choice. With a never-ending selection of walkies routes among coastal and countryside beauty spots, this abode is ideally placed for adventure-ready pups eager to explore the great outdoors. Spend time in Weymouth, just 3.5 miles away, or tackle the mighty Chesil Beach (5.5 miles) – an 18-mile shingle ridge promising the perfect setting for ball games and splashing in the sea. When it’s time to return home, this delightfully rustic country cottage invites five guests and two furry friends to retreat, rest and recharge.

Overflowing with traditional features, floral accents and pastel-painted delights, this stone cottage combines comfort with original charm. After parking up on the driveway, let Fido and Rover lead the way inside, finding cosy nooks and crannies to settle down with their favourite teddy or a juicy bone. Functional spaces, including the utility room, add convenience when staying with pets, creating room to give paws and fur a good clean after long walks. And in between said walks, your pooch can stretch their legs and sniff around the large, enclosed garden, set to lawn with a furnished patio. Inside, completing the property’s interior, you’ll find three bedrooms and one bathroom.

Wide beaches, winding country lanes and tree-lined beauty spots await in the surrounding West Dorset countryside, so lace up your walking boots, pop Rover on the lead and set off to explore. Discover the English Heritage site of Maiden Castle (6 miles) and the unique landscape of Osmington White Horse (4 miles), both within easy reach of home or head to Weymouth Bay (3 miles) to begin a long walk along the vast Jurassic Coastline. Continue down to the Isle of Portland (8.5 miles) to admire its natural beauty and rugged cliffsides, hiking down from Chesil Beach between games of fetch on the sand.

Lack of cupboard space in kitchen for food in self catering property. Most cupboards filled with owners gear. Bed very comfortable, garden good size for dogs. As soon as oven or hob used, Smolensk alarm sounds continuously
