This chocolate-box cottage is in the Dorset village of Burton Bradstock. The holiday home sleeps seven guests and one furry chum, and is perfect for large families and groups of friends. The village sits on the Jurassic Coast and is a fantastic base for walkers, with the South West Coast Path passing nearby offering exhilarating walking routes with jaw-dropping views.
The terraced cottage is bursting with personality, with exposed beams, deep-set windows, and colourful accessories. Leave dog-walking gear in the entrance vestibule, before moving through to the lounge with its tiled floor and ornamental inglenook fireplace. Here, you can sink into the sumptuous sofa to watch the Smart TV whilst Rover dozes at your feet. Just off the lounge is a characterful dining area with antique-style furniture. With direct access to the garden, this is a good spot to set up the dog bed. To the rear of the cottage is a quaint kitchen with everything needed for a self-catering getaway. Completing the ground floor, via a couple of steps, is a refreshing shower room. The three tastefully decorated bedrooms are upstairs, along with the family bathroom. Outside, relax in the enclosed cottage garden, where you’ll find seating areas, a Wendy house, a lawn, and mature borders for the pup to sniff and investigate. The property has on-street parking nearby, subject to availability.
Burton Bradstock is a charming Dorset village, with pubs, cafes, and tearooms to refuel in after a long dog walk. The village’s Hive Beach welcomes canine visitors all year (on certain sections) and is a great place for fossil hunting. Heading further along the coast, you’ll reach the 18-mile shingle stretch at Chesil Beach where the hound can enjoy off-lead adventures. Day trips from the cottage include the vibrant market town of Bridport (3 miles) and the seaside resort of Lyme Regis (12 miles).
