Grants cottage is probably the nicest holiday home we have ever stayed in. It doesnt feel like a holiday let - it is like you are staying in somebodies cherished home. The decor is lovely - thinking quirky country cottage that is so obviously a loved home. Ye some of the furniture is older but it is all comfortable and adds to the cottage themiRead moreng. There are som many little touches everywhere from the sail boats to the ducks and birds to mention just a few. Even the helpful messages reminding you to look after the cottages plumbing are funny, quiet and thoughtful. Th kitchen is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beds are so comfortable and the bed linen is really high quality. The little touches of a bottle of wine, some marmalade and a vase of freshly cut flowers from the garden were beautiful The garden is beautiful and you are only a very short walk from a warm welcome and lovely meal at the local Sun pub - we ate there several times and loved it. The cottage is in a tiny and beautiful village but only 15 minutes from amazing and quiet beeches All in all this was the perfect holiday and the perfect cottage. I would stay anywhere else on the Island Thank for sharing your beautiful home with us Hide

What a find! We stayed at Grant's Cottage for Christmas and it was just perfect. This chocolate box cottage is incredibly well equipped and there are even cupboard staples in the kitchen, I cooked a full Christmas dinner with no issues. Lizzie the owner was so welcoming, the wine, christmas crackers and mince pies were so thoughtful and appreciatRead moreed as well as the dog treats! Very comfy beds, everything was spotlessly clean and we now have a new coffee machine after my husband became addicted to the one in the cottage. We all loved the aga and wood burner, there were clear instructions for everything as well as lots of information about what to see/do whilst on holiday. The location is great, easy to get around the island by car whilst still being quiet for a relaxing retreat. Mottistone Down just down the road is a lovely walk with beautiful views. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this property - 5 stars from us and the dog! Hide
