We stayed in Whin Cottage.Lovely clean warm comfy cottage . Furnishings etc are top quality. Beds lovely & comfy too. Plenty of equipment in kitchen but not much storage space for food if you intend to cook & bring lots with you as we did. Freezer is ample though & washing machine & dishwasher were very welcome. Great space outside with sunny aspecRead moret, garden still getting established but looking good on sunny spring day. Lots of wildlife- hares owls pheasants & other birds. Nice riverbank walk to Dunsop village from the cottage. Would benefit from a little more signage along the road so you can prepare to turn into cottage - we drove past & its a fair way before you can turn back. Also be aware there is no mobile signal at all- we liked this tbh but some may not. WhatsApp will work once connected to internet which is fast & reliable. Recommend the High Buck pub in Waddington for drinks food & friendliness. Cottage Owner Mr. Ibison is very friendly & personable but doesnt bother you either! We enjoyed our stay very much & will be back. Hide

Whin at Whitcher Well was a lovely property conversion and a pleasure to stay in for the week. After cold, wet activities outdoors it provided a warm and comfortable retreat at the end of the day. The location is suited to those who enjoy peace, quiet and outdoor activities. A generous and appropriate welcome basket was provided which helped us feeRead morel at home straight away. However, kitchen equipment was sparse so future visitors may need to check before travel should they intend to cook daily. Otherwise, highly recommended. Hide
