In nearby Bude (10 miles), take the dogs for a walk over the cliffs, along the sandy Summerleaze Beach or up to Compass Point, a 19th-century former coastguard lookout. Dartmoor National Park (23 miles) is another great option for pet-pleasing trips – take a packed lunch, a picnic blanket and Bailey’s favourite chewy ball to make a day of it.
