Amble around beautiful green pastures with your contented canine when you stay at this delightful retreat on an Isle of Wight farm. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom barn, which is an annexe to the main farmhouse, offers sumptuous accommodation and ample space for pets and people. Nestled in beautiful countryside surroundings, 2 miles from Ryde, it is well placed for many dog-friendly destinations.

Shuffle off walking boots and give furry coats a good rub down as you step into the hall of this gorgeous getaway, with its exposed beams and brickwork. Accompany your chum through to the spectacular, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its vaulted ceiling and glass doors that frame the countryside views. Prepare tasty meals and feed your happy hound in the kitchen/diner, where there is also a table for your holiday feasts. Take a step up to the lounge space to watch the Smart TV as your pal rests his paws on the rug at your feet. Give him a last cuddle before bed, then amble off to your luxurious bedrooms. These include an impressive ground-floor room, with a four-poster, king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. A family shower room is also downstairs, while a double bedroom is on the first floor; this opens onto a mezzanine level, with another double bed and a futon. With low, sloping ceilings, this is perfect for children. Call your chum to join you in the sunny garden. He’ll also love to stretch his furry legs as you explore the pastures together.

Head 3 miles to sandy Appley Beach, where dogs are welcome in places all year round. Bembridge Beach, 7.5 miles away, is also pet friendly. Follow woodland walks together at Quarr Abbey, 3 miles away, and visit Osborne House, 6.5 miles away, where canine companions can join you in the grounds.

Spacious, well equipped, great location, owners on site (but wouldnt know they are there) handy for local knowledge, get for dogs enclosed own garden but you can go straight out onto open countryside walks (for miles). Great stay

A beautiful place to stay for a relaxing holiday. We went with 4 dogs. The garden is enclosed at the back so no escapees. The Annexe is perfectly equipped, very cosy and beautiful decorated and kept. There are lots of bridle ways and footpaths for great walks. The hosts, Phil and Caroline, are very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable aboutRead more the island. It is ideally situated for days out, Osborne House and the Tennyson Downs are well worth a visit. We will definitely be coming back, loved it! Hide

Lovely, cosy, holiday cottage with pretty enclosed private garden. We had everything we needed for a very enjoyable week away. The owners were close by, and extremely friendly and helpful. A real home from home!

Such an amazing cottage. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful and the location is perfect. The beds are extremely comfortable and the cottage is really well equipped.
