Take in magnificent views as you stroll along the Jurassic section of the South West Coast Path with Lottie the Labrador. This delightful, two-bedroom cottage, which sleeps four guests, is set in the picturesque village of West Lulworth and makes a great base for enjoying Dorset’s Purbeck Peninsula. It also has a split-level garden where Lottie can stretch out in the sunshine.
Take a step up to enter the red-brick cottage. Hang dog leads in the hall, then follow Lottie into the bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its farmhouse style and splashes of colour. Let her lie on the rug as you light the wood burner, then have tea and Dorset apple cake on the sofa. There is a Smart TV here too for you to unwind in front of later on. The kitchen has been created to ensure you have ample space for food preparation and storage, as well as to feed your furry friend. Gather around the farmhouse table for delicious home-cooked meals. Give Lottie a last cuddle before bed, then ascend the stairs to the first floor. Your family bathroom is here, together with two bedrooms, a king-size and a triple, with two bunks and a single bed. This usually accommodates two guests, but if you require extra space, you can request the top bunk at booking. Sit out in the fresh air in the front lawned garden with Lottie or keep an eye on her and any children at the back, where the patio has steps and a steep drop. Parking is along an unmade road, 200 metres away, subject to availability.
Picture-postcard Lulworth Cove, which is dog friendly all year round, is just 0.5 miles from the cottage. Lottie is also welcome to accompany you to Durdle Door, 1.5 miles away, where she can paddle anytime.
