Ready to welcome families, friends or a group of three couples, this three-bedroom retreat offers flexible zip-and-link sleeping arrangements throughout, perfect for packs of all shapes and sizes. The pet-friendly space features both an open fire and a wood burner across two cosy lounge areas, ideal for keeping wet fur and cold paws toasty after a long day of fetching, sniffing and hiking.

Lovingly designed to feel like a true home-from-home, this rustic stone cottage blends comfort with character. Put your best paw forward and make your way inside, stopping first in the handy boot room to give Rover a good wipe down. From here, choose between the lounge or snug – each with its own Smart TV and fire – and settle in for an evening of pure relaxation. The kitchen/diner offers a livelier hub for the pack, perfect for mealtimes and boardgames. When the day is done, send Fido to bed and head upstairs to find three king-size bedrooms that all convert to twins on request, served by a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside, you’ll find off-road parking for two cars and a furnished patio space – unenclosed, so keep an eye on any adventurous escape artists!

The small town of Haltwhistle (2 miles) makes a wonderful base for Northumberland adventures, complete with scenic walking routes and welcoming inns to return to. A must-visit nearby is the iconic Hadrian’s Wall (3.5 miles), offering history, heritage and stunning landscapes that are sure to set tails wagging. Let your four-pawed explorer lead the way along this endearing trail, stopping at landmarks including Sewingshields Crags and the Temple of Mithras (both within 10.5 miles).
