Overflowing with English country charm, this peaceful cottage offers a restful retreat for all who stay here – including any beloved four-pawed pals. This pet-friendly place welcomes a pack of five guests and one furry friend, inviting you to explore fabulous Herefordshire by foot and by paw, embracing endless walkies and unforgettable hikes each day. Spend summer afternoons in the glorious comfort of the garden, letting wisteria drift overhead with Fido sat lovingly by your side. Or settle into cosy evenings indoors, with the open fire warming cold fur after a long battle against the elements.
Promising the perfect blend of traditional and modern, this two-storey cottage pairs original farmhouse textures with plenty of up-to-date creature comforts. Let family life centre around the kitchen/diner, hearing the patter of paws on stone-flagged flooring as you go about your day. A wood burner here adds extra warmth, complementing the open fire in the lovely lounge next door. The family bathroom sits on the ground floor, while upstairs you’ll find three generous bedrooms and an additional WC. Outside, along with private parking for two cars, the garden is delightful, with lawn space and neighbouring fields filled with sheep. Due to the livestock, Rover should be kept on a lead while relaxing outdoors.
In the surrounding countryside, you'll find ample opportunities for your energetic doggo to run off the lead, exploring endless wildlife trails and beautiful routes on both sides of the England/Wales border. Tackle the many routes of the Black Mountains range, which begins in Herefordshire and dips into the wonderful Brecon Beacons (8 miles). Hike The Black Hill, then wander down to the ancient ruins of Craswall Priory (both 6.5 miles). For a slower afternoon, pop Fido on the lead and explore the streets of Hay-on-Wye (10 miles), home to countless bookshops and pet-welcoming pubs.
