Go on an adventure at this well-appointed annexe situated within 19 acres of glorious countryside. A couple and their waggy-tailed pup can join you for a week of cosy nights in, taking on Dorset's prettiest walking trails and venturing to its sought-after coastline.

Set tails wagging as you enter into this tastefully furnished two-storey holiday home and nestle amongst vibrant paintwork and creature comforts. Unwind in the compact yet comfortable lounge, surrounded by wonderful garden views. Rufus will enjoy pacing the house to the colourful kitchen, where pack members can whip up a self-catered feast for hounds and humans alike. Enjoy warm evenings out at the bistro table and chairs while playing fetch with your pup. Say goodnight to your canine pal before climbing into your double bed. This beautiful room is light and bright, with skylights on three sides, providing delightful views while enjoying breakfast in bed. Awake to a waggy tail and furry stretches out in the garden, before flicking on the kettle for a morning brew.

If it's memorable adventures you and your pup are after, then this is the cottage for you. Honey-coloured shops line the streets of Sherborne (2 miles), where you can pick up produce or enjoy a meal out at pup-friendly pubs and restaurants. Here, mosey around the grounds of Sir Walter Raleigh's, Sherborne Castle, or play a round of 18 at the golf course. There are plenty of countryside escapes to ramble with your dog, including Deer Park (14 miles) or the nature reserves of Hendover Coppice, Kingcombe or Powerstock (all within 20 miles).

We were greeted by the owners of the property. They were very helpful and friendly. We were very happy with Standwell Back. Plenty of walks in the area. A lovely large garden for dogs to have a good walk and other fields adjacent. In all a very good and comfortable holiday home.
