Walk beside the River Aln and spend time on beautiful beaches with your faithful friend. This remarkable Northumberland retreat is the ideal place to bring your family, friends and paw-some pal. Sleeping six guests, the impressive, three-bedroom abode nestles in the village of Alnmouth and has an enclosed, wraparound garden and a winter-warming wood burner.
Follow furry feet inside to find gorgeous, light-filled spaces and ample room for parties with pets. Head through to the enticing open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its colourful finish and cutting-edge fixtures and fittings. Open the doors in here so your cheerful chum can wander outside. Fire up the Scandinavian-style wood burner on colder days so he can warm his soft fur from the comfort of the bright rug, while you watch the Smart TV. Create culinary sensations in the contemporary kitchen area, then feed your furry friend and perch at the breakfast bar for a spell. There is also a dining table to gather around within this superb space. Also at this level are a separate snug, a gleaming family shower room, and a lovely double bedroom. Another inviting double, with estuary views, is up on the first floor, together with a magnificent king-size with an en suite shower room and a glazed gable end opening onto a private balcony. A luxurious family bathroom is also upstairs. Spill out into the garden to let your happy hound roam about as you cook on the BBQ and dine under the stars. There is off-road parking for one small car, plus additional on-street space, subject to availability.
Pick up the dog lead, pocket some puppy treats, and stride out along St Oswald’s Way, which goes right through Alnmouth. Follow a 6-mile stretch of the Northumberland Coast Path together, as far as Warkworth, where waggy-tailed visitors are welcome on the beach.
