With beautiful sea views stretching all the way to Coquet Island, this fantastic Amble getaway is just the spot for families and their four-legged explorers. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms and three spacious storeys, it’s perfectly placed 0.5 miles from the sandy beach and bustling harbour – the ideal playground for sandy paws, salty fur and shoreline wanders.

Step inside the house at ground level to find bright, contemporary spaces designed for sociable living. A handy lobby and hall lead to a cloakroom, and then into the impressive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The sleek, modern kitchen has everything you need for hearty breakfasts or home-cooked dinners made with local goodies. Settle down at the breakfast bar for morning coffees, gather around the dining table with sea views, or sink into comfortable seating while your faithful chum curls up for a snooze. Head up to the first floor for the main lounge, a beautiful, light-filled room facing the sea. Throw open the bi-fold doors and enjoy the glass-fronted balcony. This floor also has two bedrooms – a charming twin and a fun bunk room for younger guests, plus a family bathroom. On the second floor, you’ll find two elegant double bedrooms, each with tasteful decor and the bonus of its own en-suite shower room. Outside, the west-facing garden invites you to dine alfresco, sip something chilled, or simply relax while your canine companion has a playful potter on the lawn. Amble’s harbour is famous for its vibrant pod village, packed with makers selling gifts, jewellery, treats and local produce. For walkies to remember, join the Northumberland Coast Path from the town and take in endless, dramatic coastal scenery. Warkworth and its mighty medieval castle are 2 miles away – and its wide, dog-friendly sands are only another mile beyond. Or venture 9.5 miles to Alnwick for its spellbinding castle, as seen in the Harry Potter films, and the spectacular Alnwick Castle Gardens that holds dog days throughout the year.

House is situated in a lovely location with sea views. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 infants and the highchair and cot were very clean and good quality. We had a lovely holiday.

It is essential guests are made aware of how to use the various facilities they have paid for . Unfortunately this was not the case . It was a very cold week and we were unable to keep the property consistently warm . Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. The cottage was extremely clean and one of the nicest places we have stayed in and would recommend. The sea view was amazing and location perfect. We especially enjoyed the walks by the sea straight from the front door.

Previous occupation with pet dogs had left excessive hairs. Vacuum cleaners were blocked and full of hair debris and floors and upholstery was dirty. House was exceptionally appointed with everything you could need on holiday. Views over the links to the sea were beautiful. Shame cleaners had not removed dog hairs - unblocking vacuum cleaner brusheRead mores and emptying would have sorted everything out. Hide
