Property code: OC-COQ56

Tucked away in the heart of the charming coastal village of Warkworth, this elegant period cottage is a dream escape for couples, friends, and their four-pawed companions. Sleeping four, this two-bedroom hideaway welcomes well-behaved pets and places you less than a mile from the sweeping sands of Warkworth Beach – a haven for morning strolls, sandy paws, and sea air.

From the entrance hall, wander through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner – a bright, elegant room filled with natural light from the Georgian windows and French doors. Settle into the leather sofa or a cosy armchair, pop on a favourite film on the Smart TV, or enjoy a playlist through the Bose speakers while your faithful hound snoozes contentedly by your feet. On cooler evenings, the wood burner-effect vapour fire casts a comforting glow across the room. Take two steps down into the kitchen/diner, where the French doors open onto the deck and garden. The kitchen is sleek and fully equipped, with granite worktops, quality appliances, and a wine cooler. Sit down together at the dining table and share stories from your day. Upstairs, you’ll find two beautiful bedrooms, each featuring a king-size bed dressed in quality linen. One of the rooms can be arranged as a twin if preferred. The stylish family bathroom rounds off the home. Outside, step onto the deck to savour your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while your four-legged friend potters around the enclosed garden. There’s space to play a game of fetch or simply bask together in the sun. Parking is available on the street.

Right on your doorstep, you’ll find independent shops, tempting cafes and traditional pubs – many of which will happily offer a biscuit or two to your furry friend. History hounds on the lead should visit medieval Warkworth Castle, a short stroll away. The lively harbour village of Amble is 2 miles downstream. Here, you can browse seaside boutiques, sample local seafood, or hop aboard a boat trip to spot seals and puffins basking in the waves. Tail-wagging walkers will love the nearby Northumberland Coast Path — try the scenic 10.5-mile section from Warkworth to Cresswell for an unforgettable day out.

third time we have stayed in Warkworth, the previous two cottages were smaller, but was very nice, so we always expect a high standard, we wasn't disappointed, there was everything we needed, beds were very nice, a bit soft for me, but thats a personal issue, slight road noise in the front bedroom, but not enough to keep you awake, apart from that Read moreno problems, would definitely stay again. Beautiful cottage in a beautiful place. Ideally situated. Well equipped for all your needs, lovely well maintained garden. Excellent

The cottage is ideally situated in Warkworth with shops / pubs and walks to near - it is well equipped and has the added advantage of a patio and garden (both of which we used on numerous occasions as the weather was lovely)

Good location, nice garden to sit out in and very comfortable. Nice pubs and walks available in the village

Wouldn't recommend. Not a comfy stay, and difficult to switch-off from the road noise. Warkworth was a delight but if visiting again I would stay off the main road.
